Ministry of Homo Deus is a Synthetic Biology research centre. The design leverages nature in showcasing how synthetic biology can aid traditional building systems.
The majority of walls are constructed with Mycelium, a fungus, which branches out in an organic substrate, forming strong, light and insulative blocks.
The energy for the building use is generated from biofuel, synthesised in the circulating algae ponds.
The Geometry of the building is generated through an L-system algorithm - a system by which most living things grow. The step-by-step logic is described below.
